    Time:11:45 am - 1:15 pm

    Location: Hennepin County Southdale Library  ~

    How do you coach a leader to coach his/her direct reports?  Even the most well intentioned bosses are challenged with this task. Time, skill, conflicting priorities and fear shift development coaching to the bottom of the list behind the latest crisis of the day.

    In our session, two external Conversational Intelligence® coaches and a panel of senior Thomson Reuters Talent Professionals will illustrate key concepts and tools used to equip business executives to increase the quality of development conversations with their team members.  Learn how Thomson Reuters Business partners are using C-IQ® to develop coaching skills in their executives for development of their high potentials and high professionals in their talent pipeline.

    You will receive hands-on neuroscience based C-IQ® tools on how to “Establish a Foundation of Trust” and tools to move from Level I (transactional) conversations to Level III (Transformational).  Your ideas and insights will be welcomed as we explore the C-IQ® journey together.

    Our presenters:
    Jeanne Schulze is president of her own executive coaching and consulting firm: Jeanne Schulze and Associates, LLC. She is a Judith Glaser certified Conversational Intelligence® and a Korn Ferry/Hay Group Associate specializing in Talent Architecture and Organization Effectiveness.

    Darlene Roy-Johnson is president of her own coaching & development company: Kalina Quest. She is a recent graduate from Judith Glaser’s Enhanced Conversational Intelligence program and a previous graduate from Coach U, Corporate Coach U and Coaches Training Institute.   She led four successful corporate learning and development departments and has over 20 years of experience as an assessment consultant, professional coach and workshop facilitator.

    Session 1 (Lunch):  Ready, Set, Go! Managing your Performance Support Process for success

    Preparing to implement a performance support process requires forethought and planning, but it doesn’t need to be daunting or overwhelming. In this session, we will explore how you can prepare for a successful implementation.

    This one-hour presentation is a lays the foundation for the afternoon session.

    Session 2 (Afternoon): Situation Analysis: identifying the real requirement

    How many times have you received a request for new training courses only to find that training wasn’t what was really needed? That the issues ran deeper due to systemic process gaps?  It happens a lot.

    Panviva, a performance support consulting and software company, has developed a Situation Analysis methodology to help you determine what can be fixed with training, and what needs to be fixed via process improvements.

    We’ll take you on a deep-dive into the Situation Analysis where you can roll up your sleeves and practice the methodology on one of your own projects or utilize a Panviva use-case to:

    ·         Determine what the initiative must fix;

    ·         Capture the reasons a fix is needed;

    ·         Identify the audience;

    ·         Determine what information can be leveraged (e.g. SOPs, training materials, etc.);

    ·         Review the current training approach; and

    ·         Ensure you hit the performance measurements.

    These workshops will be conducted by Sharon Smith, Director of Customer Enablement, North America, at Panviva.

    Space is limited at the Afternoon Session!

    "The Value of Human Analytics in the Workplace will be a presentation of the case for and critical importance of hiring assessment data and the impact on training, talent management and career development. Full and Fair Disclosure:  Human Analytics is more validated today than ever before, since science now has the capacity to measure brain activity.  MEG has completed dozens of assessments in her career.  Each tool measures a specific cognitive or behavioral performance, trait, or skills in their results.  Being aware of the legal and confidential aspects of assessments and data gathering in the workplace also has philosophical and ethical implications, that will be covered briefly at the conclusion of the presentation.

    Attendees will gain a greater understanding and respect for the scientific and reputable approaches in human analytics; see how assessments are being used to match people to positions without discrimination; and learn how to apply this data in designing training, managing talent, coaching and career development as well as employee engagement. Participants will receive a one-sheet of PI Insights, and a complimentary offer to complete a PI assessment online with a 3 page report of their results.
